Have you looked at pjrc.com's Teensy? You could make the joystick appear as an actual USB joystick!

Michael Dexter is awesome. His enthusiasm is incredible.

P.S. Ha, exactly. :)

I'm just diving into Arduino myself! Got one sitting right here actually. It's my job to get the ROV-controlling joystick data from the joystick to the computer to the ROV (using Python of course :-), then programming the ROV (in Arduino) to correctly interpret that data and control the motors accordingly. Haven't done anything this before but it's really exciting.

I haven't seen Michael Dexter in a year or so but I remember him saying good things about the Linux/FLOSS community up there.

See you around.

P.S. Your post title oddly reminds me of Stephen Colbert and George W. Bush...

I thought I commented on this one a while ago, but perhaps not. I really like the blue tones in this one. The reflection is subtle and the blue of the water mixed with white, matches the sky. Overall, this shot definitely works!

Man, I had no idea you had a photogallery!! I would just check your home page and move on, thinking you've added no pics.
What was I thinking! Anyhow, I really like the Coppermine gallery - looks great. Take care.

That first shot of the seagulls is killer! I tried doing the same shot in Clearwater last summer, but it was overcast and didn't come out the way I wanted. BTW, the photo of the woman in the rain is timeless.

as a biologist the fox would catch my eye but the girl holding the newspaper over the head to protect her against the raging elements is just perfect :-)
love the way you managed to capture the traces of rain, almost like we were there also :-)
